My Weekend in St. John, USVI

I was lucky enough to be invited to a destination wedding. St. John is one of the most beautiful landscapes I've discovered on this side of the world. It was by far the best Labor Day weekend I've ever had, celebrating a close friend's wedding. Everything about it was beautiful and it didn't rain a single day. I took some photos of the beautiful island that is St. John and some of it's wonderful inhabitants...

This was on the Ferry ride from St. Thomas to St. John.

There is much to see in St. John, especially the hens and free roaming roosters. The wake up call early in the morning are a warm welcome. I love the happy reminder of being away from the city...

One of the most beautiful parts of being on a tropical island: the sunsets...

A New York City Summer

It's been too long since I've traveled and it was so wonderful. I should be traveling and eating for a living. I'll have to work on that...
This time I went to New York to celebrate a very close friend's bridal shower. It was so worth the travel because I hadn't seen her in a while and she is such a wonderful amazing person.
In the midst of my getaway I was able to take some photos exploring New York. I love New York City in the summer. Granted, for two days is was baking hot. But I'm from Florida and I can tolerate it. It cooled down a bit after the first 2 days. Plus, this weather really does allow you to stay out all day in a summer dress and enjoy the city. It didn't rain. It was absolutely splendid. I simply took photos walking through the city. I could definitely live here (in the summer)...

There were some places in New York I had never seen before and it was great to discover them during this visit.
